On 7 June, in a few days, held elections to elect our MEPs. These elections may appear to some as irrelevant because it is not clear what the European Parliament.
We Socialists are convinced that the contrary is an urgent need to vote. Why?
Reason number one: make a strong and coherent response to the crisis.
The economic crisis that affects us is unprecedented in its scope, its violence, its gravity. We all know of families affected by the daily difficulties (unemployment, purchasing power ...) because they are thousands.
The response by Nicolas Sarkozy and his government and Mr Barroso and the European Commission seems trivial and unfair: no recovery in consumption, any stimulus plan coordinated European level.
Voting in European elections, is choosing political change!
